Ruida controllers are co2 laser-cutting machine controller boards with several more powerful features. They are built for lasers and run download and execution programs. They are supported locally by RDWorks (free) and by Lightburn. They have a control panel that frequently displays the programs to be run and performs point-and-click operations. Many reverse engineering and support operations have been performed.
Ruida controller is capable of controlling up to 4 axes simultaneously, including the X, Y, Z, and auxiliary axes. This allows for multi-dimensional cutting and engraving and provides greater flexibility and precision in the laser cutting and engraving process.
Ruida controller is based on a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip, which is a specialized microprocessor designed to perform complex mathematical operations, such as those required for controlling a laser cutting or engraving machine. The use of a DSP chip allows the Ruida controller to accurately control the laser, ensure precise cuts and engraving, and provide real-time feedback and control.
It is ahead of the Gcode controller in terms of functionality. The co2 Laser Dsp controller can engrave faster, has built-in overscan adjustment, can run headless, and can communicate via Ethernet or USB
